Abstract
The sustainable development of industry is necessary for realizing the “Chinese style” modernization, and the development and application of green intelligent technology are the key to realize industrial transformation. Taking China’s five major urban agglomerations from 2010 to 2022 as the research object, this paper constructs an evaluation index system for developing “green and intelligent integration” of industrial technology(IGII) from the perspective of application of industrial technology. It uses the Super-EBM model to measure industrial carbon emission efficiency(ICEE). Through constructing a two-stage SYS-GMM model, the influence mechanism of whether developing IGII promotes the improvement of ICEE was analyzed. The specific research results are as follows: (1) Benchmark regression analysis was conducted using the two-step system GMM model, the dynamic least squares model and the dynamic bidirectional fixed effect, respectively, which verified that IGII had a significant positive promoting effect on ICEE, and passed a series of robustness tests. (2) In the heterogeneity test, the impact of the development of IGII on ICEE shows apparent heterogeneity of urban agglomeration and scale. (3) In the mechanism effect test, empirical regression passes the path mechanism test of energy efficiency, technological progress and industrial agglomeration diversity. (4) In the further study, the time distribution characteristics show that the degree of coupling coordination between the two in the overall study sample shows an increasing trend year by year. The spatial distribution characteristics show that the overall coupling coordination level is at the primary coupling and above the coordination level. The research conclusion of this paper can contribute to the green and low-carbon development of China’s industrial economy.
