The invention relates to a recipe recommendation method and system. The recipe recommendation method comprises: obtaining food material information of each original food material in an original recipe; for each original food material, according to the food material information, obtaining a food material substitution degree of the original food material and a first food material in a food materiallibrary; and obtaining the first food material to replace the original food material in the original recipe according to the food material replacement degree, and generating a recommended recipe. According to the embodiment of the invention, the food material information of the original food materials in the original recipe is obtained; according to the food material information, the original foodmaterial and the food material substitution degree of the first food material are obtained, the first food material is obtained to replace the original food material in the original menu according tothe food material substitution degree, a recommended recipe is obtained, the substitution degree of various food materials in the food material library is compared, and the optimal food material substitute is selected, so that the user can obtain the food material match with the highest cost performance.
