Multiple food placing areas are arranged in the food catering truck, each food placing area is provided with a heat preservation door, and the heat preservation doors are locked with the food placing areas through electronic locks; a liquid crystal display and a coin device are arranged on the top of a truck body, the liquid crystal display is used for displaying information such as the food quantity and types in the food placing areas, and the coin device is used for receiving coins and counting the coins; the liquid crystal display, the coin device and the electronic locks are connected with a controller, the controller automatically controls the electronic lock of the corresponding food placing area to be unlocked after a customer inserts coins and selects food, and then the customer takes the food out of the food placing area. The rapid food pick-up method has the advantages that the conditions such as the food quantity, types and the like in the truck can be displayed by the liquid crystal display, the customer inserts the coins according to the displayed information, the controller conducts automatic unlocking according to selection of the customer for allowing the customer to take the food, and food pick-up is rapid and convenient.
