Fecha de publicación: 13/08/2013 Fuente: WIPO Food Portada PURPOSE: A payment system and a payment method thereof are provided to charge the amount of payment differently according to the type and quantity of food and allow a user to pay only the price for the type and quantity of self-served food, thereby reducing unnecessary waste of expenses by allowing the user to pay only the price for the quantity of actually eaten food if the user eats lightly or has a poor appetite. CONSTITUTION: A food tray (30) with food on it is mounted on a food tray mounting part (20) which is installed at one or both sides of a food distribution counter (10) having at least two kinds of food containers (12). A weight measuring part (40) is installed at the bottom of the food tray mounting part or at the bottom of the food container and measures the weight of food taken from the food container to the food tray. A control part receives food weight data measured at the weight measuring part, finds a food payment corresponding to the food weight data from a food payment database, and displays the food payment along with a corresponding food on a display part. Food payment data for each type of food contained in the food container is stored in the food payment database. A food payment is displayed along with a corresponding food on the display part, which is installed at the food distribution counter or at a counter, according to the type and quantity of the corresponding food self-served at the food distribution counter.
