SOLUTION: This alternative food material extracting device is provided with a food component data acquiring means 11 for acquiring each component quantity per unit quantity of a nutrient group contained in a first food material and each alternative food material candidate from a food component data film 20, a normalizing means 12 for normalizing each component quantity, a vector operating means 13 for calculating a value corresponding to an angle formed by the vector of the first food material and the vectors of each of the alternative food material candidates expressing the nutritive component compositions of the first food material and each of the alternative food material candidates with a vector composed of the set of information after the normalization of component quantity in the nutrition group and an alternative food material extracting means 14 for extracting the alternative food material candidate of the smaller angle as an alternative food material having the nutritive component composition close to the nutritive component composition of the first food material as much as possible.COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
