In the method, food query information data are firstly acquired through an intelligent terminal and then query is carried out in a local food experience information database according to the food query information data; if corresponding food information data are found, a food storage data table including a food refreshing time and a warehousing time is generated and the food query information data and the found corresponding food information data are written into the food storage data table; then data of modification and additional recording of the food storage data table by a user are acquired and written into the food storage data table; and finally, the intelligent terminal uploads the food storage data table to a server and the server calculates the number of remaining refreshing days according to the food refreshing time and a time when the food is stored in a refrigerator and reminds the user through the intelligent terminal when the number of the remaining refreshing days is one. The intelligent-terminal food management method and system are capable of reminding the user about outdated food at any time and at any place visually so that interactivity, experience feeling and practicality of user use are improved.
