PURPOSE: To provide a gelatinized food such as jelly and pudding containing a fluid food embedded therein and provide a process for forming the gelatinized food. CONSTITUTION: A fluid food 2 is solidified by freezing beforehand. An unsolidified gelatinizing food 1 is filled in a forming container 4 and the solidified fluid food 2 is embedded in the unsolidified gelatinizing food 1. The gelatinizing food 1 is gelatinized and solidified to complete the forming of the food. Unique palatability and appearance are developed by the synergistic effect of the gelatinized food and the fluid food. Since the fluid food is free from contact with outer atmosphere, it does not stain the environment and is easily handleable. Furthermore, the food is resistant to deterioration and is preservable over a long period because the fluid food is separated from the outer atmosphere.COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
