Fecha de publicación: 21/12/2007 Fuente: WIPO Food Portada PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for drying food garbage are provided to cut and pulverize food garbage, separate foreign materials from food garbage, remove odor of food garbage injected into the apparatus, prevent spoiling of food garbage, improve drying efficiency of food garbage by transferring and drying food garbage in drying furnaces using high temperature hot air and screws, and enable the food garbage to be used as fodder by discharging food garbage in the powder form. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(10) for drying food garbage comprises: a pulverization part(100) for crushing and pressing food garbage; a transfer part(200) installed beside the pulverization part to store and transfer pulverized food garbage; and a drying part(300) for drying food garbage that has flown in from the transfer part, wherein the pulverization part includes: a storage tank(110) for temporarily storing injected food garbage; a crushing part(120) installed under the storage tank to cut food garbage; and a pressing part(140) into which food garbage that has been crushed in the crushing part is dropped to remove water from food garbage, and the transfer part includes: a storage tank(210) for containing food garbage that has flown in from the pressing part; a lateral screw(180) installed under the storage tank to transfer food garbage that has dropped from the pressing part; and a longitudinal screw(220) vertically installed in the storage tank to transfer food garbage to the drying part.
