The food forming method comprises the following steps: placing a blank containing a wrapper on a bearing part; turning over the two side parts of the food blank through two opposite turning-over parts; allowing at least one turning-over part to be matched with the bearing part to form a clamping mechanism so as to realize clamping of the food blank; driving the clamping mechanism to rotate so as to enable the food blank to form roll-shaped food; and driving the clamping mechanism to move in the direction away from the roll-shaped food so as to allow the clamping mechanism to be pulled out from the roll-shaped food. The invention further provides a food forming mechanism for implementing the food forming method. By adopting such a technical scheme, the food forming method and the food forming mechanism of the invention can realize turning-over of the two side parts of the food blank through mechanical automation equipment and rotating of the food blank to form the roll-shaped food, so food processing efficiency is effectively improved, the cost of manual labor is reduced, and the controllability of processing quality is enhanced.
