SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a recipe data file 1 recording an attributable value for each food of plural kind attributable values in a recipe including the attributable values such as a food group, cooking method of each of the food materials used in the recipe for each of the recipes, an inputting means 2 for designating a substituling food material to be exhibited for a food material, an attributable value data-retrieving means 3 for retrieving the attributable value of the food material for which the substituting food material is to be exhibites and the attributable value of the food material in other recipes, a resemblancejudging means 4 for judging the resemblance between the pattern of the attributable value of the food material for exhibiting the substituting food material and that of the attributable value of the food material in the other recipes, and a substituting food material-exhibiting means 5 for exhibiting a food material in the other recipes having a resembling pattern as far as possibly of the attributable value of the food material.COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
