More specifically, the automatic food tray washing system comprises: a food tray transfer unit transferring a food tray; a food tray washing unit washing the food tray transferred through the food tray transfer unit; and a food tray discharging unit discharging the food tray washed by the food tray washing unit. The food tray washing unit includes: a washing zone performing washing by spraying washing water on the food tray transferred in a standing state; a rinsing zone performing a rinsing process by spraying rinsing water on the food tray passing through the washing zone; and a drying zone performing a drying process on the food tray passing through the rinsing zone. The food tray washing unit allows a food tray support rod for supporting the food tray transferred in the standing state to penetrate thereinto. The drying zone includes a main drying unit drying the transferred food tray with hot air and a sub-drying unit disposed at the front end or rear end of the main drying unit and removing moisture with compressed air injected through an air knife equipped with a plurality of air nozzles with respect to the transferred food tray. Accordingly, the transferred food tray is dried in the drying zone with hot air through the main drying unit is dried with hot air and moisture is removed by the sub-drying unit injecting the compressed air to the transferred food tray through the air knife equipped with a plurality of air nozzles at the front or rear end of the main drying unit, thereby providing an effect of quickly and completely drying food trays sequentially transferred at high speed.
