The invention relates to an automatic food material classification scheduling robot and a control method thereof, belongs to the field of kitchen robots and service robots, and is used for solving theproblem that cooking food materials are inconvenient to arrange and store manually. The automatic food material classification scheduling robot is controlled by using the method. The method comprisesthe steps that when the automatic food material classification scheduling robot arranges and stores the cooking food materials, attributes of the cooking food materials are determined according to image information of the cooking food materials obtained at temporary placement points of the cooking food materials, and then according to pre-stored storage conditions of multiple food material storage points, the cooking food materials are placed at designated food material storage points according to the food attributes. The automatic food material classification scheduling robot provided by theinvention places the cooking food materials at the designated food material storage points according to the food material attributes, so that the cooking food materials can be placed at the designated food material storage points determined according to the food material attributes. The automatic food material classification scheduling robot can replace manpower to arrange and store the cooking food materials, the technical blank of an existing kitchen robot and an existing service robot is filled up, and convenience is provided for kitchen life and home life of people.
