Fecha de publicación: 28/03/2002 Fuente: WIPO Food Portada PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a fuel using food garbage are provided to prevent environmental contamination due to the food garbage and spending of enormous expenses used in treating the food garbage by producing a heating fuel and/or charcoal using the waste food.CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a fuel using food garbage comprises a food injection part which dehydrates and crushes the food after receiving food, and supplies water generated during dehydration and crushing of the food to a wastewater treater; a mixing part mixing the food with one or more of coal powder and charcoal powder so that food dehydrated and crushed in the food injection part can be easily ignited, and into which viscous oil or starch is injected so that the food, coal powder and charcoal powder are easily adhered; and a forming and drying part compression molding the mixture into a certain shape after receiving a mixture of the food, coal powder and charcoal powder from the mixing part, and drying the compression molded mixture. The method for manufacturing a heating fuel using food garbage comprises the steps of collecting food(S100); dehydrating and crushing the food(S102); mixing the food with one or more of coal powder and charcoal powder so that the dehydrated and crushed food can be easily ignited(S104); injecting viscous oil or starch so that the food, coal powder and charcoal powder are easily adhered(S106); compression molding a mixture of food, coal powder and charcoal powder in a briquette shape(S108); and drying the compression molded mixture(S110).© KIPO 2002
