The Sixth International Congress of Vigo played host this year to a variety of initiatives, including the LIFE + Integral Carbon Project.

The Integral Carbon project, which proposes strategies for creating sustainable food systems, was extremely well received by the Ecological Economics and Agroecology Research Group of the Business and Economics Faculty at the University of Vigo Sciences.  Of particular interest were the environmental indicators used by the LIFE + Integral Carbon project to measure greenhouse gas emissions. The measurement tools employed, were demonstrated in real time, using an actual, pilot scale project.

On behalf of the LIFE + Integral Carbon team, we would, once again, like to express our gratitude to the University for giving us this opportunity of participating, and sharing with the professional community, the fundamental concerns of the project, which are the economic, environmental and social advances envisioned in agrifood systems.
