The invention is an innovative upcycling system that converts industrial recycling waste into Recovered Glass Minerals (RGMs) — a sustainable additive for low-clinker cement production or other construction-related applications. The process of the invention provides a local, low-CO2 alternative to conventional additives such as blast furnace slag and silica fume. The processing system mechanically removes regulated heavy metals from recycling waste streams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for cement production. The process operates without toxic chemicals or high energy consumption, making it an environmentally friendly solution. It employs a multi-step separation process, including air-based fluid dynamics, magnetic separation, ultrasonic cavitation, and heavy media separation. These steps efficiently extract plastics, metals, and contaminants while isolating high-purity RGMs for cement production. Designed as a modular, scalable solution, the system leverages readily available industrial equipment for rapid deployment and commercialization. By transforming waste into a valuable cement additive, this process enhances circular economy practices, strengthens local supply chains for additives, and contributes to the decarbonization of the construction industry.
