The much talked concern is for the favor of fashions sustainability around the world. Sustainability movement combats the huge carbon footprint that fast fashion has created by reducing CO2 and other greenhouse gas emission. Environmentalists have been calling forth industries to incorporate sustainability principles into their production processes. Untreated effluents containing heavy metals are being released into rivers from nearby factories, affecting the health of people who live along the polluted rivers. Textile processing industry is characterized not only by the large volume of water required for various unit operations, but also by the variety of chemicals used for various unit operations , but also by the variety of chemicals used for various processes . Any industrial activity causes pollution in one form or the other and so is the textile industry. Pollution in textile industries are becoming big concern. Sustainability entails addressing our own demands without jeopardizing future generations ability to meet their own. Concern for social fairness and economic development are found in the most definitions of sustainability. Natural resources are protected, resulting in environment sustainability.
