The system can generate a sustainability metric based on the actual data and one or more parameters of the activity. The system can generate, by at least one algorithm, a predicted sustainability state for the level of assessment at a subsequent point in time based on the sustainability metric, the actual data, and the one or more parameters of the activity. The system can generate a recommendation for at least one action based on the predicted sustainability state and the sustainability target for the hydrocarbon operation. The system can output the recommendation for the at least one action for adjusting the activity of the hydrocarbon operation.
