In particular, a computer-implemented method for sustainability impact assessment and improvement is disclosed. The method comprises: (a) determining a sustainability impact estimate of a building or precinct based on one or more characteristics of the building or precinct; (b) automatically selecting a set of tools that achieves a target improvement on the sustainability impact estimate, wherein the tools are related to improvement on environmental impact and one or more of social and economic impacts of the building or precinct; and; and (c) determining an improved sustainability impact estimate of the building or precinct based on the selected set of tools, and presenting the improved estimate on an interface together with a visual representation of the selected set of tools.
