In the test method, a forest class is used as a test unit for testing the forest resource sustainability in the three aspects of forest naturality, forest productivity maintaining capacity and forestry community structural integrity and stability. A system for testing the forest resource sustainability is established based on the investigation content of the forest class, and a method, which is simple and practicable and is close to production practice, for testing the forest resource sustainability is disclosed.
