Providing a repository of materials selectable for the polymer formulation; d. Providing a computer-implemented algorithm for calculating the contribution of each material selected from the material library to the required material specifications for achieving the polymer formulation; e. Providing a computer-implemented algorithm for calculating the contribution of each material selected from the library to the required sustainability criteria for optimizing the polymer formulation; and f. Calculating the composition of the polymer formulation wherein the polymer formulation exhibits an optimal value of the sustainability criterion while satisfying the material specification.
