According to the game, the user is required to make a decision of acquiring resources or protecting the resources in each round, and corresponding rewards or punishment is given to the user according to the decision of the user and the state of the resource pool. According to the game, cooperation and competition behaviors among users and the influence of dynamic change of a resource pool on user behaviors and system sustainability are analyzed by recording data of decisions, rewards, punishment, resource pool states and the like of the users. By designing and operating a system sustainability game, experimental data can be collected and used for testing a human-environment system sustainability theory; factors and mechanisms which influence the sustainability of the system can be explored by simulating cooperation and competition behaviors among users and dynamic changes of a resource pool; by feeding back rewards or punishment to the user, the user can be stimulated to take more sustainable behaviors.
