A report is received from each of the selected service providers which includes at least one reported value characteristic having a value metric and at least one reported cost characteristic having a cost metric. The reported cost and value characteristics are compared to select at least one common value characteristic and at least one common cost characteristic each of which is common among the selected service providers. A service sustainability relationship is then computed as a function of the at least one common value characteristic and the at least one common cost characteristic to benchmark the sustainability of each of the selected service providers relative to one another.
