In one aspect, there is a growing system comprising: a plurality of sensors for sensing one or both of parameters of a plant or parameters of an environment in which the plant is being grown; an environmental control system for controlling one or more growing conditions of the plant; a controller coupled to the plurality of sensors and configured to: receive sensor data from the plurality of sensors; determine whether parameters based at least in part on the sensor data match one or more performance criteria; and cause the environmental control system to perform an adjustment to at least one growing condition of the plant in response to a determination that the parameters do not match the one or more performance criteria.
