The backbone of many nations is agriculture, which also significantly contributes to the economic growth of underdeveloped countries. Due to the fast-expanding global population, present farming techniques will be able to produce enough food in the future. Smart farming aims to improve product quantity and quality while decreasing the requirement for recruiting human labour. The project involves an Internet of Things-based aeroponics system for plant cultivation. The Internet of Things connects all components of intelligent systems used in the agricultural industry and other industries and is considered the foundation of intelligent agriculture technology. There are numerous methods for growing the plant. Modern farming techniques like hydroponics, aeroponics, and aquaponics feed plants with nutrient-rich water rather than soil. Aeroponics offers more advantages in terms of faster plant development, increased production, and improved nutritional absorption than other modern farming techniques. Plants can be stacked one on top of the other in an aeroponic garden. An IoT and Node MCU have been used to automate the monitoring of an aeroponic system. Temperature, humidity, pH, water flow, level of nutrition solution and pressure will be measured using analog and digital sensors. The control system unit managed actuators. Sensor data is transferred to a server over the internet so farmers can monitor their aeroponics systems easily. The prototype of the system can be successfully used to deliver data from a sensor for the growth of plants.
