A system, method, and device for real-time water management of heterogeneous crop fields using wireless sensor networking thereby providing real-time, automatic, dynamic, and remotely controlled irrigation treatment for different growth phases of a crop’s life cycle is disclosed. The system comprises of at least one wireless programmable unit (100) for sensing data, wherein the unit comprises of a sensing means and actuating means (110) to irrigate soil. At least one remote server (600) is being communicably coupled to the sensor means so as to process and store the sensed data. The remote server (600) is configured to establish communications between the sensor means and a user equipment, which is adapted to receive data and send control signals to irrigate soil.
