SMART ROBOT FOR SOIL INFORMATION COLLECTION &PRECISION FARMING ACTIVITIES

To solve the problem of monitoring large scale farms andremotely manage farming activities, a smart IoT Robothas been designed with motorised NPK soil sensor probe,hyperspectral cameras, a lidar system, interchangeablemodular units for various farm activities & solar-basedbattery unit with entire assembly fitted on therocker-bogie suspension system. With IoT based controlunit, user choices path of navigation & activity to beperformed. Smart Robot collects data points, processonboard using AI engine & takes programmed actions toautomate non-critical farm activities or alters user forfurther action commands. The data collected is processedthrough an artificial intelligence engine to plan & executeprecision farm activities. The modular design enablesswappable units like soil sensor unit, seed sowing unit,pest detection unit, fertilization spay unit and visionsensor unit. Combining soil information with GeographicInformation System (GIS) data from public satellites, aHeat map is generated & feed to the robot with precisionlocation coordinated and amount of resources likefertilizers, pesticides & others to be sprayed. All the datacollected is sent to a central database for progressing &automating the irrigation pipeline system & other controlsystems on the field which optimises for the leastresource usage & high yield output.
