One example computer-implemented method includes accessing multiple images of at least a part of a plant and dividing each of the multiple images into a plurality of patches. The method then includes, for each of the patches, adding a plurality of keypoints identifying locations of the disease on the plant to each of the plurality of image patches and adding a density map to each of the plurality of keypoints in the plurality of image patches. In connection therewith, the density map is aligned to each of the plurality of keypoints. The method further includes adding the patches from the multiple images, with the density maps, to a training data set for an artificial intelligence model and training the artificial intelligence model with the training data set.
