The crop is then conveyed to a transport vehicle via a discharge chute provided on a discharge tower. A device for adjusting the tilt angle of the discharge chute is provided for guiding the crop mass flow onto the transport vehicle. A method for measuring a crop mass flow on the forage harvester is based on sensing a force proportional to the crop mass flow, which acts upon the device for adjusting the tilt angle of the discharge chute, and calculating the crop mass flow in a computing unit based on the sensed force.
