AUTOMATED AND EFFICIENT FARMING USING UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES

In this paper we are presenting a very noble and efficient idea of precise farming by using the concept of unmanned aerial vehicle and telescopic extension mounted with sensors. The field is divided into a matrix form and each square of the matrix being a sensing point. The unmanned aerial vehicle( UAV) , comes and stagnates over one such sensing points after which the motorized telescopic extend itself and penetrates the soil and the sensors senses the different soil conditions. Depending on the soil conditions it operates the local sprinklers and sprays fertilizers as required. The system is energized from solar power so as to accomate for the increasing energy demand of the drone.
