ABSTRACTApplications of artificial intelligence in agriculture weather managementArtificial intelligence (AI) is an increasingly powerful tool in the modern agricultural sector, with new applications arising in almost every area related to the weather. Using AI in combination with meteorological data, agribusinesses and farms can mitigate the risks of extreme weather events. Systems can identify areas prone to floods, droughts, and other natural disasters to ensure that crops are protected or harvested in a timely manner. AI-powered applications can also be used to improve forecasting accuracy and provide farmers with seasonal and environmental information that can be used to choose the optimal time for planting, harvesting, and applying fertilizers or pesticides. Additionally, AI can be used to develop precision farming systems, actively tracking data such as soil moisture and temperature to provide farmers with real-time insights and improve irrigation systems. Finally, artificial intelligence can be used to detect, classify, and quantify pests and diseases, which can be used to inform sprays or other treatments. These are just a few examples of how artificial intelligence is being deployed in the agricultural industry to help farmers adapt to changing weather patterns.
