The sensor support is axially retained in engagement with the stationary bearing ring, and a sensor is slidably mounted in the slide of the sensor support. The sensor is biased into contact with the sensor support and is radially retained in the slide. An encoding element is carried by the rotatable bearing ring and is rotatable in front of the sensor. Various embodiments are disclosed.
