An electrical circuit (17) is configured to drive a low frequency current (I1) within the primary winding (9-1) of the at least one sensor coil (1) for magnetization of the magnetic permeable core (5) into a magnetic saturation state. The electrical circuit (17) is further configured to detect the magnetic saturation state of the magnetic permeable core (5) based on an inductance of the at least one sensor coil (1) determined by the electrical circuit (17) driving a high frequency current (I2) within the at least one sensor coil (1).
