The system is authorization to distribute, to a recipient user, a digital asset stored in a digital asset storage. Identifications of the recipient and/or owner user and a token identification of a non-fungible token (NFT) of the digital asset are provided. The digital asset is retrieved from the digital asset storage. The digital asset is watermarked to embed digital information uniquely indicative of the owner user and/or the recipient user. The watermarked digital asset is encrypted using an encryption key of the recipient user and the encrypted watermarked digital asset is stored in the digital asset storage. The asset record is updated to include the identification of the recipient user and the NFT is provided to the recipient user.
