The method comprises: storing a plurality of key-value pairs associated with an interactive digital design at a location in storage; based on the plurality of key-value pairs, generating product description data and a token indicating the location at which the plurality of key-value pairs is stored; embedding the token into the product description data; and in response to receiving a request for a product corresponding to the interactive digital design, transmitting the product description data with the token to a manufacturing entity to cause the manufacturing entity to extract the token from the product description data, use the token to retrieve the plurality of key-value pairs from the location, and use the plurality of key-value pairs to generate manufacturing instructions for manufacturing the product corresponding to the interactive digital design.
