A multi-path ADC is disclosed. The system processes an analogue input signal in a first processing path 201a to generate a first digital signal. The system also processes the analog input signal in a second processing path 201b to generate a second digital signal. The second digital signal passes through an adaptive filter 229 to generate a filtered digital signal. A combiner 231 may receive a digital signal from each of the processing paths and may generate an error signal. The system adapts the response of the adaptive filter signal to reduce a difference between the filtered digital signal and the first digital signal. A| multiplexer 227 may select one of the digital signals as an output signal. It is disclosed that the method may include determining nonlinearities present in the second processing path based on comparison of the first digital signal and the second digital signal, and applying a linear correction to the second digital signal to generate a corrected second digital signal with decreased nonlinearity from that of the second digital signal.
