According to one aspect, a digital camera media scanning method includes providing media to be scanned, providing a digital camera, moving at least one of the media and the digital camera with respect to the other of the media and the digital camera, generating a plurality of raw images of the media during the moving, generating a base image using digital data of one of the raw images and comprising a plurality of planes of digital data individually corresponding to one of a plurality of colors, determining an amount of movement between the one raw image and another of the raw images, populating the planes using digital data of the another raw image to implement super resolution, the populating comprising weighting the digital data of the another raw image using the amount of movement and combining the digital data of the planes of the base image after the populating to provide a composite image.
