The digital album device comprises a casing, a display unit supported by the casing, a storage unit supported by the casing and adapted for storing digital pictures, and a control unit supported by the casing and coupled to the display unit and the storage unit. The control unit is responsive to commands input by a user for causing the display unit to display the digital pictures. The digital album device has at least one reproduction protection feature to prevent the user from reproducing the digital pictures.
