A digital indicator comprises a circular digit carrier rotatably mounted behind a reading window 13 and driven through gears 4, 5 by a rotary instrument 3 to which is applied a voltage corresponding to the digit to be indicated to bring the appropriate digit to the display position. The carrier is a bent arcuate strip mounted on an arm 6 attached to the gear 5. A number of indicators may be positioned side by side.
