In one embodiment, a method performed by an authentication and authorization server comprises obtaining one or more templates of one or more digital representations of perceptible things owned or otherwise controlled by an enrolling user, wherein each template comprises one or more values that represent one or more features of a respective digital representation. The method further comprises obtaining one or more consent policies for the one or more digital representations and storing the one or more consent policies and the one or more templates such that, for each digital representation, the consent policy for the digital representation is associated to the template for the digital representation and a user identity of the enrolling user performing the enrollment.
