The invention relates to cultivated land protection, in particular to a gridding cultivated land protection method and system based on big data, and the method comprises the steps: calculating a grid risk coefficient and a grid member bearing capacity coefficient of a single grid, and calculating a grid risk coefficient and a grid member average bearing capacity coefficient of a whole region; performing optimization configuration on the number of grid members in a single grid according to a comparison relationship between the calculation result of the single grid and the calculation result of the whole region; the basic resource layer is used for providing underlying services after computer infrastructures are integrated and utilized, the data resource layer is used for providing storage and access services of various data for business applications, and the platform service layer is used for providing unified components and services for supporting platform business applications for the system. Unified basic data access and data analysis function support is provided for the system; according to the technical scheme provided by the invention, the defects that the number of grid members in the grid cannot be optimally configured and cultivated land protection cannot be effectively supervised in the prior art can be effectively overcome.
