A SYSTEM FOR MANAGING VEHICLE TRAFFIC USING IOT, IMAGE PROCESSING AND BIG DATA

The present invention provides a system for managing vehicle traffic using loT, image processing and big data. The invention in some embodiments thereof, relates to a system for management of road traffic that form a part of the Internet of things (loT) and, more particularly, but not exclusively, using technology of loT, image processing and big data. The preferred embodiment of invention consist of a sensor kit 3 for detecting smoke and sound on a regular basis which is combination of loT enabled smoke sensor and sound sensor, installed along the length of road 8;a server 4 receiving and storing real-time data of amount of smoke detected by the smoke sensors and level of sound recorded by the sound sensors, connected next to sensor kit 3; a control unit 5 measuring critical level of smoke and sound and thereby taking decisions whether to trigger camera 6 and signals 7 or not; cameras 6 connected to control unit 5, triggered by control unit and signal 7 connected to control unit 5, triggered by control unit 5. This invention can be used to monitor the real time situation of traffic which can be used to give prior information to upcoming vehicles about condition of traffic at a junction, which will help in futuristic decision making of traffic management of city.Reference: Drawing 1
