The proposed controller comprises, incorporated into a common housing, an input-output module (1), which is at the same time a motherboard, a system module (2) installed immovably on the motherboard, and also a connector, which is installed on the motherboard and is intended for the installation of a communication module (3) on the motherboard. Furthermore, the input-output module (1), the system module (2) and the communication module (3) (if installed) are electrically interconnected via the motherboard such that the input-output module (1) and the communication module (3) (if installed) operate under direct control of the system module (2).
