The method comprises the steps of scanning an NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things) network and obtaining cell identity information of each current available cell; carrying out connection with the NB-IoT network; sending the cell identity information of each current available cell to a third party positioning server; and receiving location information fed back by the third party positioning server. An NB-IoT terminal scans the NB-IoT network, obtains the cell identity information of the current available cells, is connected with the NB-IoT network, and sends the cell identity information of each cell to the third party positioning server; the third party positioning server positions the NB-IoT terminal according to the identity information of the available cells scanned by the NB-IoT terminal and feeds back positioning information to the NB-IoT terminal; and the NB-IoT terminalreceives the location information fed back by the third party positioning server, thereby finishing one-time positioning. According to the terminal positioning method provided by the invention, the problem that location deviation is relatively high when the NB-IoT terminal is positioned based on a base station can be effectively prevented.
