The service providing method using an IoT device includes: a step of allowing an IoT gateway of an IoT network to register a target IoT device; a step of allowing a device management server of the IoT network to obtain a rule which defines an operation for the target IoT device; a step of allowing the device management server to transfer the rule to the IoT gateway; and a step of transmitting an operation control signal for controlling an operation of the target IoT device to the target IoT device in accordance with an operation rule included in the rule.
