Optimizing power consumption for M-IoT devices

Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to optimizing power consumption of large scale Internet of Things (M-IoT) devices. The present disclosure provides techniques for optimizing power consumption of a large scale Internet of Things (IoT) device including a plurality of IoT devices. According to some examples, a power optimizer system may obtain one or more operating parameters of a plurality of IoT devices. The power optimizer system may estimate a power cost function (PCF) based on one or more operating parameters to determine power consumption for each IoT device. The power optimizer system may determine a change in PCF of one or more of the plurality of IoT devices due to a change in uplink and downlink operation of each IoT device. The power optimizer system may identify one or more optimal operating parameters, and then configure one or more IoT devices of the plurality of IoT devices using the one or more optimal operating parameters.
