According to an embodiment of the present invention, a device for generating a Software Development Kit (SDK) which generates a Software Development Kit (SDK) for connecting an Internet of Things (IoT) device and an Internet of Things (IoT) platform communicating with the Internet of Things (IoT) device comprises: a protocol analysis unit analyzing a sample data received from a user of the Internet of Things (IoT) device and identifying protocol for communication between the Internet of Things (IoT) device and the Internet of the Things (IoT) platform; and a Software Development Kit (SDK) generation unit requesting selection of an Software Development Kit (SDK) language from the user of the Internet of Things (IoT) device and generating the Software Development Kit (SDK) using Internet of Things (IoT) platform information received by requesting the user of the Internet of Things (IoT) device to select the (Internet of Things) IoT platform communicating with the Internet of Things (IoT) device, the identified protocol, and the received Software Development Kit (SDK) language. In the present invention, a developer or the like needs to understand and identify the Software Development Kit (SDK) of the Internet of Things (IoT) platform, as well as identify the characteristics of the Internet of Things (IoT) device such that the device can solve the inconvenience of having to implement a firmware of the Internet of Things (IoT) device for communicating with the Internet of Things (IoT) platform.
