According to the present invention, the management system for a device based on the IoT includes: an edge server receiving one or more among operation information on the device based on the IoT and environment information from the one or more devices based on the IoT and extracting minimum essential information related to operation or environment of the device based on the IoT from the received information; and a cloud server receiving the minimum essential information from the edge server, generating a control command for controlling the one or more devices based on the IoT based on the minimum essential information, and transmitting the control command to the edge server. Therefore, the management system for a device based on the IoT defines the one or more devices based on the IoT and a gateway connected to the devices as an edge and transmits only necessary information among collected information in real time at the edge to the cloud server. Also, the management system for a device based on the IoT can generate the control command of the device based on the IoT based on the transmitted information by the cloud server.
