An IoT device comprises a secure element that performs encryption processing for establishing a secure channel to and from the communication device. The communication device and the IoT device each have a list that indicates first information and second information. The first information can be replaced when mutual authentication between the communication device and the IoT device is not performed. The second information can be replaced when the mutual authentication is performed. The communication device acquires the list from the IoT device, transmits the first information to the IoT device on the basis of the acquired list when the mutual authentication is not performed, and transmits the second information to the IoT device when the mutual authentication is performed. The IoT device acquires the list from the communication device, transmits the first information to the communication device on the basis of the acquired list when the mutual authentication is not performed, and transmits the second information to the communication device when the mutual authentication is performed.
