The method comprises the steps that a user can trigger a client to add IOT equipment, and after the IOT equipment completes network distribution, the user can also select to bind target IOT equipment in at least one piece of IOT equipment subjected to network distribution to the client, that is, the user inputs a binding instruction to the client; and then the client sends a binding notification to the target IOT equipment and sends a binding request to the server according to a binding instruction of a user, so that the server binds the target IOT equipment to the client, and binding and adding of the IOT equipment are completed; therefore, the user participates in the network distribution and binding process of the IOT equipment as a real control party of the system of the Internet of Things, the interconnection between people and things is reflected, and the idea of the interconnection and intercommunication between people and things of the Internet of Things is better realized.
