The invention relates to the technical field of Internet of Things, and provides an Internet-of-Things system dormancy control method based on an NB-IoT communication protocol stack, and the method comprises the steps: step 100, obtaining a dormancy trigger event; step 200, reporting the dormancy trigger event to a power management module, and judging whether the NB-IoT communication protocol stack allows dormancy or not by the power management module; step 300, enabling the NB-IoT communication protocol stack to update the general user identification module file; step 400, enabling the NB-IoT communication protocol stack to inform a physical layer that the power is about to be cut off; step 500, enabling the NB-IoT communication protocol stack to sleep the information to be stored; step 600, enabling the NB-IoT communication protocol stack to register a dormancy timer in the power management module, and determine the dormancy state of the universal user identification module at the same time; and step 700, enabling the power management module to control the real-time clock to operate the sleep timer. Electric energy consumption of equipment can be reduced, and the service life of the battery is prolonged.
